Target Blu Eye 2 is a unique and worldwide patented traffic safety system that warns you of approaching emergency service vehicles. In the UK all the emergency services use Tetra radios and Target Blu Eye will let you know when they are close come day or night. So whilst driving at night, even if the emergency vehicle is not using their lights or sirens, Target Blue will alert you of their presence up to a kilometre radius.

Target Blu Eye uses both visual and audible warnings to let you know what’s out there. Within seconds of an emergency vehicle being in the radius, the signal will be activated and the signal strength meter in your vehicle will give you enough warning allowing you move safely out of the way.

Target Blu Eye is based on TETRA technology, in the UK it is known as the Airwave Network which is widely used for the communication between different emergency services. When the change over from Tetra to ESN takes place, a software upgrade will be available to handle the change and keep you informed. Due to this highly advanced technology, Target Blu Eye 2 can warn you in advance of approaching emergency services, such as:

Almost ten years after its introduction, the first generation of Blu Eye has convincingly proven itself to many thousands of users at home and abroad as the ultimate road safety system that warns road users of approaching emergency services. But it’s in TRACK Technologies’ DNA to make what’s good even better. With all the knowledge and experience we have gathered in recent years, this has resulted in the new Blu Eye 2!

Blu Eye 2 has a much more powerful platform than its predecessor. The system not only picks up the 200 low TETRA/C2000 channels like the first generation of Blu Eye, but can now also receive 600 high TETRA/C2000 channels that have recently come into use in the EU.

With Blu Eye 2 it is now possible to choose from two different displays. TRACK Technologies has developed an LED display, especially for the interior mirror. In addition, a 2.4-inch LCD screen is available that can be mounted in or on the dashboard.

Both displays now show up to three emergency services at the same time. Handy if you think that the merging ambulance on the highway is the cause of your alarm, but a look at your display shows that there is another emergency service in your area. Because a warned person counts for three.

Yes, the use of Target Blu Eye is legal since the system is only informing the driver whether an emergency service vehicle is nearby. Moreover, Target Blu Eye cannot differentiate between police vehicles, ambulances or fire engines. You will be warned of all types of emergency vehicles in the same way.
